Cant say enough about Catan for the IOS! I hope they make an IPad version soon, also a cities and knights expansion would be the bomb-

Helps me practice to play the board game better. Also an addictive time waster. :)

The latest patch causes my games to crash both randomly and frequently, and after a crash the game is not saved. Trading is slower and glitchy, and the dice rolls are still horribly biased against the human player. Very disappointing. When you take the lead the dice simply will not roll your numbers and the amount of AI 7s will completely rob you. I have lost many games by going 15-20 dice rolls and collecting 1-2 resources and getting them all stolen from me even after I lost the lead.

Played 2x. Got to 10 1st both times. Game kept going... Failed design.

It is very fun to play. If you click the roll dice too soon you dont get the payout from the previous turn. Happens often when you play a knight card. Only issue is I was charged 3 times for the game. But I do like to play.

Its been a few years unprofessional it is to still have major bugs that make this unplayable. When you get halfway through the campaign mode for the seafarers version it will only allow you to build five settlements when you are supposed to be able to build eight. The computers are allowed to build the full eight. This makes it impossible to win these scenarios. Hell they could not know this after this much time is beyond me.

I love catan but this version is designed around getting you to spend as much money as possible. 5 for the game but then the campaign is 10, but that is just one part of the campaign and each is 10.

Please do an update with an option to not use victory points..!!!! They use them way to much, it takes the fun out of it when you think youre winning and then game over they have 3 victory points

Awesome game and has features to turn game play off and on. Never had any problems.

This is a great app to learn the mechanics of the game. I find the other players will not trade with me when I initiate the trade. Id rather play games face to face but, this is a great way to learn.

Unless you like opponents who consistent roll 7s and steal from you, I would pass on this app. When theyre not rolling 7s -- usually when you have 8 or more cards, rarely when they do -- the NPCs tend to focus on building the largest army. So, again, be prepared to be give up lots of resources to the NPCs. The NPCs also pester you with the lamest trade proposals and reject your more reasonable ones. They also trade with one another more than with you. Finally, the graphics are annoying and time-consuming. If you select "turbo," its STILL slow. Settlers of Catan is a great board game, but this is very frustrating.

If you like Catan, the real board game, dont buy this app. It doesnt do it justice. Developers if you are reading this, I want my money back. Klaus Teuber would be ashamed and disappointed.

The random number generator (dice) is one of the worst Ive ever had the unfortunate experience of paying money for. The dice will generate the exact same number for 7+ rolls. And, it happens in multiple games in multiple situations (player winning/losing, sheep v wheat, etc) whether stack is on or not. Would like to have my money, and more importantly my time, back.

My favorite app I have ever downloaded. So much fun. Very well done.

I love Catan, but it has so many bugs, friends list wont load, tapping on certain hints crash the app.

Not the board game but its close. I primarily use this offline as a practice tool for when I play the board game with my friends in person. It gets 4 stars for what I use it for. Ive rarely used it for online play but have had very little problems the times I have had online matches.

Gameplay wise the game is great, and the artwork is appealing; not too complicated but also visually interesting. My only complaint that the app will randomly crash every so often, Ill reopen it and everything runs fine but it is annoying having to restart games due to the auto save function failing when the app crashes. I own the board game version of this app and its one of my favorite games, and I love being able to play it on the go, my only request is that the bugs in the app are fixed. If you like settlers and can get past the occasional crashes then I would recommend this game for you, if you cant get past the bugs then I would advise waiting until the app is refined more.

Glitchy and not well designed but mostly playable. Still, its way better than catan universe.

Great adaptation of the board game.

This user intentionally loses connection during games so that the previous turn needs to restart. For some reason, he kept on disconnecting and by doing so, restarting my turn. I was building a settlement in a spot he was also seemingly going for. After disconnecting 5 times both me and the other player had to leave the game. I have also seen players use this glitch when they role a 7 or play a knight. They move the robber and take a card, and if they dont like the card they stole, they disconnect and move the robber to a different location. Please fix this glitch.
